The Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution South Africa (C4IR South Africa) has three goals:

  • to support industry transformation across various sectors with the understanding that to survive every business will have to become a technology company
  • to support government transformation with understanding that (1) governments need to embrace technology in its daily operations and that (2) governments who can develop and maintain robust and resilient technology governance protocols and frameworks will open the door to new economic opportunities.
  • to support awareness and development of frontier technologies such as quantum computing and synthetic biology, will be critical to tackling the issues of climate change and health.
